When the story of P'Nut the Squirrel and Fred the Raccoon broke on the news in late 2024, my heart shattered alongside millions of others. Being an animal advocate and the lucky Mom to my beloved rescued squirrel Benjamin, who had blessed my life beyond measure for eight wonderful years, I felt a strong pull to support P'Nuts Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary whenever I could—always wishing I could do more to help them.
